• Good Friday Walk In 2008 our Rector, Cynthia Black, knew that as a (then) homeless congregation, we had nowhere to observe Good Friday. So she invited other clergy, parishioners and homeless folks in the area to observe the last hours of Jesus' life by walking to locations in downtown Kalamazoo that were important to those with no permanent home. This will be the third year that this walk has happened, and you are invited to help make it a continued success. The walk will begin at Ministry with Community, 440 North Church Street, Kalamazoo, on Friday, April 2, at 11am. We will stop at several points in places that have particular importance for those who are homeless, and return to Ministry at approximately 12:15pm.

- Maudy Thursday 7pm
- Good Friday 11am at Ministry with Community
- Easter Vigil 7pm
- Easter Day 7:30am & 10am, followed by free brunch and Easter Egg hunt.

• Thank you to all who helped with the "People of Afghanistan/People of God" art exhibit! We invite artists in our community of all ages and talents to share their work in our May Exhibit, "We Care about Mother Earth." The work can be of any medium. The Art Exhibit will open Sunday, May 2 with a walk of our outdoor labyrinth and a reception to follow. Please contact Linda at Lkadamcz@juno.com or 388-2988 by April 2 if you are interested.

• Haiti Outreach We continue to urge our members to donate to Episcopal Relief and Development. ERD is able to get supplies and funds where they are needed most after a disaster. You may donate online at er-d.org, or use one of the pre-addressed envelopes at church.

Also, our congregation has partnered with Brownie Troop 435 to make Hygiene Kits for Haiti, a Church World Service project. If you are interested in helping to make more, contact Lori Nagel-Bennett .

• Indoor Labyrinth Walk - On the 4th Wednesday of each month, from 6 pm - 8 pm at the Parish Church of Christ the King. A circular path for prayer and meditation open to people of all faith traditions. Orientation is offered to first time walkers. Questions... contact Linda at Lkadamcz@juno.com or 388-2988.

•Ongoing needs for Ministry with Community

- Powder laundry detergent
- Tissues
- Sunscreen/lotion
- Lip balm
- Pencils
- Lysol spray
Food items that we are extremely low on are:
- Meat - ground beef and bacon
- Butter
- Coffee
- Peanut butter
- Bagged/ready-to-serve salad
Please consider picking up one or two of these items while you are out grocery shopping. Every little bit adds up, and ends up making a huge difference in the lives of the people we serve. Debit/Credit Cards registered with the Harding's e-scrip card can be used at many different on-line stores including Ace Hardware, Pep Boys, Office Max, Eddie Bauer, Sierra Trading Post, and local restaurants including Cosmos, Harvey's on the Mall, O'Duffy's Pub, Olde Peninsula, and Pasta Pasta. Kirsty writes: I was quite surprised to learn that Terry and I earned some rewards during our recent trip to Arizona while dining at a local restaurant. We had no idea that this restaurant was part of the e-scrip network, but since my credit card number was listed with escrip and I used this credit card at the restaurant, the church will earn a couple of bucks. From now on when we go away I will get online and see which local attractions honor the e-scrip card. You can view program details and register here.
